The Sales Executive is responsible for supporting the sales team with in-house sales, client requests and administrative duties as assigned, coordinating with the other departments as necessary.
- Work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to ensure hotel budget is achieved
- Conduct daily five sales call to key partners
- Conduct monthly and quarterly business review meetings to make sure all contracted accounts are producing
- Make lists of potential clients and conduct surveys to identify customers actively seeking a hotel
- Prepare and present sales proposal to potential clients, highlighting the best features and qualities of the hotel
- Assist clients in selecting the most appropriate service that best meet their specifications and needs
- Oversee the booking and reservation of space in a hotel to ensure availability and proper arrangement
- Conduct price negotiations with customers on behalf of the hotel management to reach a favorable bargain for both parties
- Process and facilitate requests for customized services such as room redecoration, equipment, and switch
- Coordinate and organize the details of an event such as catering, lodging, seating, and security
- Maintain contact with clients to obtain feedback and to discuss opportunities for future business deals
- Set annual budgets and implement strategies effective for achieving set targets
- Conduct assessment of sales performance to make necessary adjustments to increase patronage
- Schedule appointments, maintain calendars, plan meetings (onsite and offsite), make travel arrangement, and coordinates related activities to ensure smooth and uninterrupted business.
- Monitors departmental collaterals and office/stationery supplies and reorders when necessary.
- Monitors current status of department work to resolve issues within scope of authority and/or notify appropriate party for resolution, and inform supervisor of operational problems.
- Is well updated on hotel facilities and nearby sights of interest and importance (i.e. hospitals, stations, tourist sights), hotel standards of operation and departmental procedures, accepted methods of payment by the hotel and hotel’s credit policy.
- Records minutes and notes and commitments made by Managers or staff during sales meetings and arranges for implementation and/or follow up.
- Event planning to include support for large meetings, off-sites and team motivation events.
- Conducts site inspections of the property and facilities/services to potential clients.
- Advises the Director of Sales & Marketing of sales efforts progress towards the achievement of targets planned.
- Coordinates sales blitzes in designated geographical zone/s.
- Assist the Sales Manager in establishing and maintaining close contact with local, national and foreign journalists to maximize positive media coverage.
- Assist the Sales Manager in sourcing sponsorship from various companies, banks, airlines, etc. for promotions.
- Assist to manage all press releases and maintain a constant supply of articles for the media partners.
- Assist to co-ordinate and host group/individual media familiarization trips.
- Ensure responsibility to capture accurate client data base/guest profile, creatively using this in line with privacy expectations of our clients.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments in the hotel including all activities, promotions, rates of the hotel.
