About The Role

  • Ensure that you fully understand the business strategy and positioning of the RARE Finds brand, and that you can effectively articulate this positioning in the marketplace. This is the responsibility of ALL sales and marketing professionals, regardless of their responsibility level.
  • Support the Sales and Marketing team in maximizing the hotel’s revenue and achieving resort goals and KPI’s by developing strategies and business plans to increase revenue.

Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales and Marketing team in maximizing the hotel’s revenue and achieving resort goals and KPI’s by developing strategies and business plans to increase revenue.
  • Being a Bab Al Shams Resort employee means embodying and conveying the brand mindset through the values of Connection, Warmth, Care and Empowerment.
  • Responsible for leading the property’s strong commercial partner relationships covering Corporate and Government accounts and be supportive in the implementation of the sales strategy and achieve Bab Al Shams Desert Resort revenue goals.
  • Responsible to develop and implement all sales plans activities and maximize property’s business opportunities.
  • Always ensure proficient teamwork within the Sales department.
  • Effectively manage communication between the Sales and Reservation team, front office, and operations teams.
  • Responsible for the implementation and ongoing development for the management and strategy of a portfolio of key major sponsors.
  • Monitor daily pick up and reservation forecast data.
  • Maintain, build, and strengthens relationships with existing and new business partners (domestically and within GCC and Israel by enhancing quality of customer service, identifies opportunities for new alliances and develops strategies for revenue growth.
  • Activities include sales calls (3 days per week limited to Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays), entertainment, Hosting FAM trips, attending trade shows.
  • Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
  • Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • KPIs are built on daily sales activities and the ability to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable the achievement of hotel sales objectives.

Main Duties

  • Responsible for the co-planning, development, and the day-to-day management, third party bookers and partners: (Guest/Companies).
  • Ensure that all incoming and outgoing booking/sales requests are attended to and handled as per the hotel standards and procedures.
  • Attract guests and enhance their loyalty, providing a distinctive service through communication and sales skills, to improve the hotel’s image and to increase revenue.
  • Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
  • Using Knowledge of Market Trends and Target Customer Information to Maximize Revenue
  • Understands the overall market – competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand.
  • Closes the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and location needs.
  • Gains understanding of the hotel primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution.
  • Business Travel to GCC and Israel markets and Sales Events/client visits as and when required.
  • Consistently providing excellent customer service, building positive business relationships, and working with the team to ensure that any agreements/commitments are delivered within an appropriate time frame.
  • Ability to create, manage and coordinate with the Marketing Communications team to meet deadlines in promotional and tactical sales activity.

Administration & Operations

  • Day-to-day administrative tasks for contracting and processing bookings with Reservations.
  • Effectively oversee the LPO and invoicing process with purchasing and finance team when required – from initial request to final reporting communicated by a monthly budget report and tracking with the assistance of the Sales and Marketing Coordinator

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Leading by demonstrating keen personal interest and experience in Luxury, lifestyle & Industry trends
  • Take initiatives to drive motivation levels of the team.
  • Team Conflict Management
  • Oversee control Sales financial and audit procedures.
  • Handles guest complaints and disputes following the instant pacification procedures.
  • Utilizes all available on the job training tools for employees.
  • Ensure support of achievement of Quality tools and yield Management performance within the Sales team.
  • Ensure and perform a proper use of all the equipment and property management system, to have a comprehensive knowledge of software

Miscellaneous

  • STAFF DISCIPLINE: Assists in the implementation of the Hotel’s Code of Discipline.
  • TRAINING and EMPLOYEE ACTIVITIES: Attends scheduled trainings and participates in company-initiated employee activities
  • LOST AND FOUND: Ensures that all staff is aware of Lost and found procedures at all times.
  • EMERGENCY RESPONSE: Possesses full knowledge of emergency procedures, and ensures all staff is aware of emergency procedures at all times.
  • EQUIPMENT CARE: Ensures proper care and maintenance of equipment in the area of assignment.
  • GROOMING & HYGIENE: Adheres to specified hygiene and personal appearance standards of the hotel.
  • ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS: Is fully aware of and complies with the Hotel’s environmental policy and established rules and guidelines.
  • ATTENDANCE: Adheres to set procedures for attendance and timekeeping.
  • Performs such other functions as may be delegated by management from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum University Degree Hospitality
  • Min. 4 year in Sales in a luxury 5-star hotel and Middle East and GCC Sales
  • Middle East Experience
  • Basic level – Microsoft Office applications
  • High level of written and verbal business English and Arabic
  • Relevant Sales Training in SFA
