The HR Analyst is expected to have a range of competencies and experience, including:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous exposure to HR roles, internships, or coursework that has provided foundational knowledge of HR principles and practices.
- Familiarity with compensation and benefits concepts, such as reward package design and job evaluation, through coursework or practical experience.
- An approach of being a “service partner” to support management in achieving sustainable growth.
- Ability to adapt and work autonomously within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Basic understanding of HR procedures, processes, and organizational structures, and willingness to learn and apply these concepts effectively.
- Familiarity with the structure of UAE, GCC, and African M&S Affiliates is a plus.
- Effective interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration and influencing across various levels of the organization.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks under pressure, prioritize effectively, and make informed decisions on the go.
- Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in French is a plus, and knowledge of other regional languages, such as Arabic, would be advantageous.
Activities: Employee Relations and Organizational Development & Effectiveness
- Resolve issues and problems and achieve business objectives in connection with the Companies’ policies and procedures, employee health and welfare benefit plans, payroll, immigration, and visa matters.
- Resolve employee relations issues and advise management. Conduct thorough, objective, and effective investigations.
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements to manage day-to-day HR operations, to reduce legal risks ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with line management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
- Oversee the entire staff life-cycle from recruitment through performance management and termination.
- Responsible for the LTP headcount planning and staffing and recruitment strategy.
- Oversee job evaluation (NP), succession planning and people review campaigns for the Companies.
- Create and update HR policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws, regulations, and Emiratization (through NAFIS Platform). Keeping up to date with any changes in legislation and implementing necessary adjustments to HR practices.
Compensation & Payroll/Benefits Administration Assistance:
- Collaborate with the Regional HR to contribute to the design and proposal of Compensation & Benefits policy and guidelines.
- Assist the Regional HR in coordinating with TUS for payroll administration and management of Health & Welfare (“H&W”) benefits provided by affiliates or third parties.
- Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of compensation and employee benefit surveys and trends.
- Support the oversight of annual campaigns such as Performance Shares, Salary Review, and Merit Bonus, under the guidance of the Regional HR.
- Aid in the onboarding and supervision of external HR service providers and payroll agents in UAE and other countries within the designated scope.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure proper recharges to other affiliates.
Talent Acquisition Assistance:
- Work alongside the Regional HR and TUS to assist in managing the talent acquisition process and act as a point of contact for hiring managers.
- Support the coordination of job posting campaigns with TUS and participate in shortlisting and relevant interviews as part of the internal mobility initiatives.
- Provide guidance to hiring managers regarding compliance with local employment laws, regulations, and recommended best practices.
Talent Development Support:
- Assist in overseeing the complete staff lifecycle, from recruitment to performance management and termination, in coordination with GRP/REN and TUS.
- Collaborate with GRP/REN and TUS to help in supervising talent development, deployment, and coaching efforts.
- Contribute to the annual mobility process in coordination with TD teams and TUS.
- Act as a supportive contributor to the development of a comprehensive Talent framework that aligns with the business’s goals of identifying, attracting, developing, and retaining future talents and managers.
- Support managers in forecasting talent needs, succession planning, and talent pipeline requirements aligned with the business strategy.
- Assist in developing strategies for senior workforce succession planning and change management projects.
- Provide support for the development of managers in alignment with the “Better Together” philosophy.
- Assist in the coordination of competency matrix development and training plans during annual performance reviews for functional teams.
- Collaborate with Total Energies affiliates on the provision of training programs for the MEA DG team.
- Contribute insights to identify and advise on job grades and rankings for both new and existing positions, following the group NP guide.
