We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to lead and manage our finance team, overseeing a group of accountants and senior accountants responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger Operations.
The ideal candidate should possess strong team management capabilities and in-depth knowledge of financial processes, particularly in managing escrow accounts, payments, and audits.
The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in optimizing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective teamwork.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of accountants and senior accountants.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and facilitate professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the finance team.
Accounts Payable Management:
- Oversee the accounts payable function, including corporate payments and escrow transactions.
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions regarding escrow accounts and transactions.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments, invoices, and expense reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve payment-related issues and discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable Management:
- Manage the accounts receivable function, including escrow records, audits, and DLD (Dubai Land Department) workflows.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to address customer inquiries and disputes related to accounts receivable.
- Monitor and improve collection processes to ensure timely receipt of outstanding payments.
Financial Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger Operations.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in financial operations.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Utilize advanced Excel skills and reporting tools to generate accurate financial reports and analysis.
- Prepare management reports, financial statements, and ad-hoc analysis as required.
Software and Tools:
- Possess a good understanding of software such as Salesforce, Oracle Fusion, Prism etc.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless integration of financial data and sales information.
- Bachelors / Masters degree in Accounting / Finance, Preferably a qualified CA / CPA / ACCA.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in finance and accounting roles with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience working in the real estate development industry in UAE / GCC.
- Strong team management skills with a track record of effectively leading and developing finance teams.
- In-depth knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger operations.
- Experience in managing escrow accounts, including relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Familiarity with sales management and financial management software’s (e.g. Salesforce, Oracle Fusion) is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
