JOB PURPOSE
As the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in driving the financial success of our company and ensuring our continued growth. You will work closely with the CEO and GMD to develop and execute the strategic plan.
Responsible to overview of Company Financial Accounts and lead the Group Account/Finance Department. Managing in overall financial planning and control of the group – Budgeting, Forecasting, Variance analysis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve the company’s business objectives and goals.
- Plan, manage, coordinate and carry out a payroll system.
- Oversee and manage the company’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legal requirements.
- Monitor and manage cash flow and financial risks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and other financial partners.
- Provide financial guidance and support to other departments and senior management.
- Manage the finance team and oversee day-to-day financial operations.
- Work closely with the CEO and COO to develop and execute the company’s strategic plan.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
Financial Reporting
- Ensure the timely submission of accurate monthly financial reports to include:
- Profit and Loss as against the Budget
- Balance Sheet and its reconciliation
- Reconciled intercompany transactions.
- Income Analysis
- Timely closing of the year-end financials completes with the reconciliation.
- Provide management with information and advice on any variances and trends observed.
- Review the wage report as the correctness of company code and Leave salary report as to the amount of provision.
- Distribution of the monthly performance report for each of the business lines.
Cash Position
- Oversee the flow of cash on a daily basis and financial instruments. Manage cash flow to adequately fund operational needs.
- Preparation of Cash Collection on weekly basis
- Review of the Again of Receivables and its circulation to the Department Heads highlighting the major concern.
Audit of Accounts
- Provide information to internal and external auditors, on all aspects of the financial operations.
- Arrange for audits of company accounts and meet with auditors to review audit.
Operations
- Review of all corporate related payment transactions as to completeness of the supporting documentations and correctness of entries.
- Authorize the transactions in bank portal after review and then send an email request to all authorizers along with all supporting documentation.
- Release the transactions once approved whether it’s related to corporate account or other entities and notify the concerned parties.
- Assist in the requirements and queries of all departments / business lines in all financial aspects of the business.
- Supervise the timely and accurate payment to vendors/ suppliers.
- Ensure that commission, salary and other staff benefits are paid as per agreed schedule, final settlement is done after doing due diligence.
- Reconcile the payroll upon receipts of the approval and reports / register from HR Department as to its correctness. Ensure release of the payroll on time and in line with the release date for the entire group.
- Review the VAT related reconciliation and VAT Returns before submission for approval.
Budget
- Plan, formulate and direct the work related to the preparation of budget.
- Update of Budget template with data as to revenue and direct costs as on the cut-off date and then distribution of the same to Department Heads to incorporate their projections/ assumption.
- Consolidate the budget assumptions and after review, submit the consolidated budget for final review / approval.
- Closely monitor the budget as against the actual expenses
Compliance
- Continuous monitoring of the company’s compliance to tax requirement in order to minimize, if not eliminate, related risks that may give rise to tax penalties such as delayed filling of Tax Returns, late VAT remittance, erroneous reporting, noncompliance to FTA format.
- Monitor the proper implementation of effective internal controls in all financial aspect of the operations as provided for by and in accordance with corporate standards.
- Review of procedures of Finance Department, which requires improvements, or any procedures, which consumes lot of time and energy.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or related field 5 – 7 years of relevant experience
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, CPA)
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Detail-oriented and analytical
- Working as a Finance Manager for at least 3-4 years in UAE Real Estate is preferred.
- Able to deal simultaneously with multiple tasks.
- Logical, structured, methodical
- Able to cope under pressure.
- Flexible in approach to working hours and duties.
- Able to prioritize and highly focused quality.
