Our client is a flight support company looking to hire a well-experienced Business Development Manager (Fuel and Ground Handling) based in Dubai, UAE.

The role will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing all activities of Fuel to provide recommendations on business strategies, medium and long-term plans, and ways to achieve the organization’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives of maximizing profits and creating value for the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree level education
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in the aviation industry out of which 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong experience in business planning, forecasting, budgeting, and team management.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in oral and written English, able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Must be flexible to work on an as-needed basis and available 24 hours a day.
  • IATA Certification would be a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages, guides and leads the Fuel Department in identifying strategic growth and expansion opportunities in fuel and other services we provide.
  • Ensures that professional advice is provided to the Management on the development of long and short-term fuel sales agreements as well as spot sales contracts for the sale of our fuel services and oversees legal implications and disputes on agreements.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact with customers, understanding customers’ business, relationship with the fuel buyer and others in the decision-making chain of the customer entity, negotiates tenders, set credit terms in line with the company policies and ensures performance on the said terms is in consultation with the Managing Director.
  • Manages customer credit risk and ensures that credit facilities to any clients – for Fuelling and other services should be provided in consultation and discussion with the Finance Department and the Managing Director.
  • Gives presentations on fuel operational performance and draws up action lists/follow-up reports on its implementation.
  • Conduct special projects assigned including service rate restructure in coordination with the Managing Director.
