Job Title: Head Accountant
Pharma Service Co. LLC, a leading distributor of consumer health brands in Dubai, UAE, is currently seeking an experienced and diligent Accountant to join our finance team. As an Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of our distribution company, ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient cash flow management. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong accounting background, a passion for numbers and a versatile skill set to contribute to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
1) Manage cash flow activities, including monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash requirements, and ensuring timely payment of invoices and expenses.
2) Prepare and analyze financial statements, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and income statements, to provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
3) Collaborate with the management to develop budgets and financial forecasts, identifying areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
4) Utilize ERPNexxt Software to process invoices, credit notes, and maintain accurate financial records.
5) Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant local regulations.
6) Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, resolving any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
7) Collaborate with the procurement team to track inventory levels and reconcile inventory accounts.
8) Assist in the preparation of tax returns, financial audits, and other regulatory requirements.
9) Develop and maintain strong relationships with pharmacies and customer accounts departments to facilitate effective financial management and resolve any financial queries or concerns.
10) Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, ensuring their professional development and adherence to accounting best practices.
11) Can handle other related reports and Employee payroll creation as per WSP.
12) Assist departments in account reconciliation process on monthly basis.
13) Administer all bank transactions and oversee data recording procedures monthly.
14) Assist department in monitoring monthly bills due date.
Requirements:
1) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2) Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably in a reputable firm or distribution company.
3) Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
4) Proficiency in using ERPNexxt Software or similar accounting software.
5) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
6) Strong leadership mentality and ability to work independently.
7) Outstanding interpersonal skills to foster relationships with internal teams, pharmacies, and customer accounts departments.
8) Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
9) Strong verbal and written communication skills.
10) Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is a plus.
