Sales, Middle East Overview
The Sales, Middle East team have been constantly innovating and pushing the boundaries even further following the launch of our digital solution in 2018 in the United Arab Emirates. It’s a truly exciting time to be working in the Retail vertical, to really think through what feel good commerce means to our Merchants and their Shoppers by bringing our unique connected commerce proposition to life across all our Payment and Software solutions.What you will do
- Payables management: Booking supplier invoices for UAE on a daily and weekly basis. Ensuring that supplier invoices are checked to Purchase orders and that approvals are in place. To work with colleagues to ensure payments are made on time as per payment terms.
- Supplier Reconciliations to be done on monthly basis.
- Weekly reports related to suppliers to be prepared and assisting in month end closing for Accounts Payable.
- Supplier contract management: Ensuring that contracts master is maintained, and copies of all contracts are obtained and renewals to be done on time.
- Expense claims: Reviewing expense claims submitted by employees and checking that all approvals are obtained and supporting documents are submitted.
- Petty Cash: To book petty cash expenses in accounting system.
- To answer tourist related queries as and when needed
- Any other duties that may be assigned
Who you are
- Accounting Graduate or Part Qualified Accountant with minimum 3 years GCC accounting experience preferably in Accounts Payable.
- A team player who confidently collaborates with suppliers and other internal teams.
- Accurate with high attention to detail.
- Have an ability to handle difficult suppliers.
- Positive attitude towards suppliers, colleagues, changes and challenges.
- 3 years of Accounts Payable experience with 2 years preferably in GCC region.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Proficient computer skills with good working knowledge of Excel.
- Strong comprehension of accounting principles
- Knowledge of Sage accounting software preferable.
