We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage general accounting operations (esp. via controlling and verifying the financial transactions). General responsibilities include reconciling account balances and maintaining general ledger.
Perfect candidate must have an excellent analytical skill with thorough knowledge of accounting principles to be able to analyze financial reports and to be able to ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks. The candidate should also have an experience in managing a team of Junior Accountants.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Produce error-free accounting reports
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
- Spot errors and suggests ways to improve efficiency
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Manage accounting assistants/ Junior Accountant
- Prepare financial statements and schedule
- Assists with Statutory Audits and Tax Returns
- Supports month-end and year-end close process
- Develop and documents business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls
- Ensure compliance with IFRS principles
- Attend ad-hoc or other tasks as required by Finance Manager
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years experience as Senior Accountant
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS
- Deep knowledge of Financial Accounting Statements
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Knowledge and experience of accounting software (esp. Xero)
- Proficient with all MS Office, ability to maintain the accuracy of Excel spreadsheets, comfortable with pivot tables
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
- BSA or with degree in Accounting
- With relevant certification is an advantage
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
