About the job

The Patient Accounting Officer – Cashier is responsible handling cash transactions and for ensuring accurate cash count and safekeeping of the monies received and transacted from various sources within the hospital. The Cashier shall ensure that these financial activities for patients shall run efficiently and effectively by following the facility’s approved policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Banking, or related field may substitute for 2 years of required experience
• Competent computer skills.
• Ability to perform basic math functions (calculations of discounts, basic additions / subtractions / multiplications)
• 2 years experience in Cashier position within a major healthcare company or division of a large healthcare corporation.
• Knowledge of Insurance billing
• International accreditation experience.
• The ability to influence and implement change.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with others.
• Organized and able to work methodically.
• Able to relate to people from different cultural backgrounds.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Ability to speak Arabic is highly preferred.
