1. Job Objective
Conduct procurements, follow up on procurement procedures, verify quality compliance in accordance with approved specifications, and follow up on assignments of individual executives within an operational plan.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Receive purchase orders from the organizational units of the entity.
- Ensure correct procurement process and periodically update data according to the approved guidelines.
- Follow up on the implementation of purchase orders, receive purchases and transport them to warehouses in coordination with concerned parties.
- Communicate with suppliers; and evaluate, approve and register them on the supplier registration portal according to the rules and regulations followed by the organisation.
- Negotiate with suppliers in coordination with the purchasing committee.
- Follow up on the processes of tendering / bidding, submitting offers, and executing procurement operations according to the approved guidelines.
- Follow up on the preparation and implementation of contracts according to the conditions mentioned in purchase orders and send them to the Ministry of Finance.
- Prepare contracts and maintain records.
- Follow up on suppliers’ payments and pay their dues in coordination with the concerned departments.
- Follow up on inventory management processes to ensure adequate stock and maintain records of all inventory transactions.
- Ensure that tasks are carried out as assigned by the direct manager.
3. Qualification and Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum five years’ experience in operations management, including finance and procurement, for federal entities.
Thorough knowledge of procedures followed by individual federal entities in the UAE.
Skills
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Fluency in Arabic and English.
