As the advanced Logistics and Procurement Manager for Microavia, a leading aerial robotics manufacturer based in Dubai, UAE, you will be responsible for setting up and overseeing import and export operations for the company. This will involve coordinating with forwarders and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and materials, as well as managing the freight and logistics for Microavia’s products.
In addition to these core responsibilities, you will also be tasked with developing and implementing strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain, including identifying potential cost savings and implementing new technologies and processes. In the realm of procurement, you will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating contracts with suppliers, managing the company’s inventory, and ensuring compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be highly proficient in inventory management software, and have a strong understanding of best practices in this area. You will also need to have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and oversee import and export operations for Microavia
- Manage freight and logistics for the company’s products and materials
- Arrange work with forwarders and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective supply chain operations
- Keep the supply chain highly efficient and ensure smooth flow of goods and materials
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain
- Identify potential cost savings and implement new technologies and processes
- Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers
- Manage the company’s inventory and ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures
- Proficient in inventory management software and best practices
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field
- At least 8 years of experience in logistics and procurement, with a focus on import and export operations
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures in the UAE and other relevant countries
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and supply chain management software
- Fluency in English, Arabic language skills a plus.
