The Role
The Finance Analyst will provide business and finance analytical support to the Division Leadership team. He will be responsible for gathering and supporting Divisional finance operational reporting, data organizing and planning, business cases and projects, by collaborating across departments of the Organization (Sales & operations, Central Finance, and Supply Chain).
The finance analyst will as well provide support to Divisional Finance Control activities (i.e working capital, supplier & trade receivable monitoring, internal controls & SOP implementation.)
What you will do
1- Financial Planning & Analysis
- Ensure quality financial information is used by the business for decision making and that potential risks and opportunities are anticipated and understood
- Review monthly performance and identify areas of risk to achievement of targets and forecasts and develop/follow up action plans
- Support special projects: bridge stocks, new launches, new agencies
- Support the planning, data consolidation and financial analytics of the PharmaConsumer Business
- Prepare, review and analyze all Divisional reports for PharmaConsumer and provide Financial and Administrative support to Divisional CFO.
- Partner with cross functional groups in supporting financial analysis and reporting requirements
- Coordinate with central transactional team month end/periodic accrual process.
- Consolidate in-the-market sales and inventory data and support sales/cost/margin/expense analysis for the Division.
- Analyze trade spend for consumer business and align with central finance team on margin reserve accounts and movements.
- Provide ad hoc reports upon request
- Support financial modelling, forecasting and budgeting activities
2- Business Support
- Maintain prices and CIF data
- Business Process Improvement (FOC, Loans, demand planning, claims…)
- Assist in identifying worst performing principals from a financial perspective and involve in portfolio rationalization.
- Identify and analyze profitability, sales by channel, bad debts risks, and costs adjustments
- Represent Divisional Finance and Commercial team for business process improvement projects
- Work closely with commercial and sales team to prepare budget and forecast activities
- Participate to monthly demand planning cycle and support review of purchase orders
- Analyze and challenge product/agency portfolio to identify cost optimization opportunities, eliminate Value Destroyers and maximize the return on investment
- Develop, manage, and communicate Divisional financial initiatives
- Support Contract review activities
3- Internal Control/Compliance
· Assist in compliance documentation reviews (expense reports, HCP expenses..)
· Support implementation of internal/system control initiatives
· Contribute to Divisional Compliance training plans
· Act as a Divisional liaison to support tax (VAT) compliance activities
· Support SAP Divisional finance release activities
What you must have
- Accounting Degree, CFA or ACCA
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Finance Planning and Analysis, ideally in multinational company environment
- Healthcare and or Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry experience
- Knowledge of product portfolio and brand profitability
- Fluency in MS Office applications and advanced Excel, Power BI knowledge is a plus
- Knowledge and understanding of financial and accounting procedures
- Fluent in English (writing , speaking & listening); Arabic is a plus
- Knowledge in SAP and BI systems
