Job Purpose:

  • Responds to job requests/scheduled maintenance by deploying the required team
  • Ensures that the agreed response times and contract KPIā€™s are met
  • Replaces Facility Manager in the evening shifts
  • Gathers and analyzes data and reports
  • Prepares reports and compliance documentation
  • Coordinates and oversees maintenance activities
  • Ensures that all the tasks/work orders are delegated properly and on a timely manner

2.Ā Main Accountabilities / Duties:

Building and Property

  • Ensures all engineering areas are clean and organized
  • Observe energy and utilities usage in the hotel and on the grounds.

Assurance/Quality Improvement

  • Work in a neat and efficient manner, keeping work areas clean and well organized.
  • Support the improvement of FM services that effectively address problems affecting owners, guests and employees.
  • Complete all maintenance or repair assignments in a timely, safe and professional manner.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Safety and Security

  • Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
  • Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
  • Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
  • Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
  • Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.

Health, Safety and Security

  • Comply with reasonable OSH instructions and safe working procedures;
  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems;
  • Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures;
  • Not will fully or recklessly endanger anyoneā€™s health and safety;
  • Assist with preparation of risk assessments;
  • Report OSH hazards, incidents and issues
  • Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
  • Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
  • Follow hazardous material management program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, blood borne pathogens, etc., including using Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.
  • Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
  • Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
  • Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
  • Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines.
  • Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises.

Policies and Procedures

  • Follow company and department policies and procedures.
  • Ensures uniforms, nametags, pins and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Protect company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures. Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Minimum RequirementĀ (Education / Knowledge, Skills and Experience)

  • Bachelorā€™s degree in Civil engineering
  • Experienced as a Facility Engineer or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of the hotel building process and principles
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
