Junior Accountant | Fortes Holdings

A well-known and well-reputed Company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is looking for an experienced, skilled, competent, mature, qualified, creative, and intelligent candidate with significant knowledge and relevant working experience for the position of “Junior Accountant”.

The Junior Accountant will contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the finance department by executing daily tasks with a strong attention to detail. This role will utilize strong accounting knowledge, time management skills and effective problem solving to ensure success.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in management of day-to-day accounting operations
• Invoicing & Cash Application
• Processing Vendor Payments
• Assists in performing general ledger accounting functions as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of ensuring that department functions are completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Accounting for Fixed Assets & Depreciation
• Expense Booking, Provision & Accruals
• Accounting for Leases
• Cash and Bank entries and reconciliation
• Prepare inter-company reconciliation
• Assisting with month-end, quarter-end and year-end tasks
• Filing and Records Retention
• Adhoc work

Other requirements: 

• Bachelor’s or Higher Degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance (BCom/MCom/CA Foundation / ICWA Inter / MBA Finance)
• 1-4 years relevant work experience in AR, AP & GL (Preferably in the UAE)
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Strong understanding of IFRS, International Accounting Standards, VAT laws and its implementation in UAE, will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
• Ability to work independently and in a team oriented environment
