Peregrine Limited, an FSRA Cat 3C license holder, was established to develop a next-generation, blockchain-driven investment platform to meet the growing demand from both managers and investors for digital assets (tokens). Bringing together significant investment management expertise and specialist digital asset market infrastructure developers, Peregrine is supported by the ADGM and works alongside the ADGM’s best-in-class service providers in developing the region’s financial and digital asset ecosystem. In addition to the investment platform, Peregrine’s clients leverage its expertise in structuring, compliance, investment operations and capital raising.

Job Purpose

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele. You will be at the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

In the first three months, expect to:

Support the executive management team in targeting appropriate investors for the launch of traditional and tokenised funds and assets on the platform. Map out the client channels and distribution channels in GCC. Identify appropriate conferences/events and other PR opportunities.

In the first year, expect to:

Support the raise of capital for funds and tokenised-assets being launched. Many of these funds will be an established fund manager, with a team and established investor base. Some of the new launches under Peregrine will be emerging managers or new assets.

Responsibilities

  • To raise assets from a GCC and broader MENA investor base of institutions, HNW intermediaries, and family offices who have the capacity to allocate through an ADGM fund into global assets and strategies;
  • To liaise with the existing investor base and update them with a technical understanding of the fund’s portfolio and performance;
  • To support and advise on the creation of technical marketing materials to share with your investor network;
  • To work alongside the Head of business development to define the fund-raising strategy for the business in the GCC and broader MENA region;
  • To attend meetings with managers, asset owners, and investors, and to update the investors on the performance and wider portfolio;
  • Reporting to the Head of Business Strategy and Development
  • Based in UAE

Requirements

  • To have 6+ years experience at an institutional-quality fund or asset manager in a business development role;
  • To have extensive experience and contacts with a UAE investor base;
  • To have a deep global investor-network of prospective investors in the region;
  • A good understanding of all investment strategies and assets, and/or the willingness to learn
  • To have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • To have a desire to work with a progressive fund and asset management platform;
  • A strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with solid interpersonal abilities
  • Highly motivated, independent and ability to interact effectively with business units
