Our concept was originally started in 1996 in Australia, Jones the grocer is a passion project derived from the founder’s desire to run an unconventional grocery store, cafe and cheese room.
The first of it’s kind serving fresh, simple and delicious food along with the best flat whites before they were even a thing.
We are looking to hire a purchasing and warehouse manager to develop purchasing strategies and oversee the purchasing team in their daily activities of sourcing suppliers and purchasing products, equipment, and services.
The ideal candidate will have to manage the warehouse staff, vehicles and other equipment, and oversee security, sanitation, and administrative functions.
Job Responsibilities:
1-Ā Develop and deliver the procurement strategy for the organization, annual plans with prioritization and resourcing while managing and running the procurement department,
2-Ā Manage the purchase process lifecycle and execute procurement related functions while supporting the franchisee procurement cycle,
3-Ā Manage daily orders from the stores, understand business unit needs, service those needs, maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customerās key personnel involved in or directly relevant to supply chain activities
4-Ā Quality Assurance & development of procurement policies and procedures which are suitable for JTG operations with an aim to bring in efficiencies and best practices.
5-Ā Foster a company-wide best practice approach to inventory management, auditing, reporting mechanisms and training tools for operations and support to ensure we have the best product, at the best price at the right timeā¦always.
6-Ā Ongoing checks on suppliers, Working with development chefs to introduce into the supply chain with management approval (RND)
7-Ā Pricing Review, monitor and analyze current trends in the marketplace, monitor usage, overstocking and aging of food products.
8-Ā Accurate Reporting, coordinate with operations and retail the sales and planning process including supply / demand forecasting, inventory management, and on time delivery
9-Ā Establish key performance indicators, monitor ongoing performance, and improve performance against set goals.
10-Ā Stay informed of advances in supply chain technology and approaches,
11-Ā Maintains receiving warehousing and distribution operations
12-Ā Controls inventory
