The Operations Division at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Operations Administrator.
Position Overview :
To maintain a departmental and institutional perspective in the management of the work unit. To bring an institutional perspective, a connection or the glue to departmental decisions which helps keep the total practice integrated. This shared perspective is an essential mechanism of achieving the Mayo Clinic strategic and operating plan. To utilize resources prudently and appropriately. To serve institutional governance and leadership needs through active participation on institutional committees, community boards, task forces, etc.
The administrator functions in a leadership role with the physician/scientist leader, operating within the unique cultural context of the specific department. Receives direction from Associate Administrators or other Senior Administrators. The administrator provides management of allied health staff and provides appropriate staff support to department committees and task forces. It is understood that multiple, and sometimes conflicting, assignments at the enterprise, institutional or departmental level may create a need to prioritize activities at any given point in time.

Education requirements:
Required:
•Master’s degree in business, health care administration or related field required.
Experience & Skills Required:
•Five years healthcare management or related industry experience to include people, projects or programs required. Operational experience must include demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment with physician, scientist, educator, administrative, supervisory, and allied health staff.
•Must have demonstrated leadership competencies management (e.g. staff, change, complex issues) and operations. Excellent communication skills required.
•Operations Patient Access Management Experience strongly preferred.
