General Description Of Role And Responsibilities
- Review of Project Management Consultancy Services Contract with respect to Logistics services requirement.
- Coordinate security arrangements with the Client’s third party facilitator.
- Traffic management planning
- Review technical submittals associated with logistics; e.g. method statements, major movements of plant and machinery, tower cranes, mobiles cranes etc Site possessions, coordination between all contractors coordinate all health and safety briefings and VIP visitor programmes.
- Develop overall Project Logistics Plan to efficiently and effectively manage the allocating and scheduling of material, equipment and personal resources to achieve Master Developer requirements. The overall Logistics Plan shall include but not limited to the following:

- Traffic circulation and parking
- Journey management – prior to arrival to project site (addresses behavioral changes)
- Permitting, operating restriction, surrounding impacts and dynamic influences to ensure uninterrupted site deliveries and limited impact upon surrounding transport infrastructure and residents
- Use of permanent and temporary construction roads
- Site offices for Contractors employed by Master Developer and sub-developers
- Labour camp and welfare
- Protection of temporary and permanent facilities
- Lay down and storage area for contractors materials
- Integration of Construction Environment Management Plan
- Construction waste disposal strategy
- Personal and vehicular control access process
- Security plan for all parties on site including Master Developer and Sub-Developers workforces
- Ensure that all facilities required under the Project Logistics Plan for the smooth and successful development of the project from a logistics perspective are in place and properly administered.
- Review, from time to time, the Logistics Plan and recommend revisions as necessary to match the revised construction time programme.
- Develop overall Project Logistics Guidelines.
- Prepare overall Project Logistics Procedures and ensure implementation by contractors and consultants.
- Prepare Logistics Guidelines and procedure for implementation by Sub-developer.
- Review and approve Logistics Plan submitted by Contractors directly employed by the Master Developer.
- Review and approve Logistics Plan submitted by Contractors employed by Sub-Developers and ensure implementation.
- Organize and chair regular site meetings with contractor’s representatives to ensure established logistics plan and procedures are understood, coordinated and implemented.
- Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction, or equivalent.
- At least 12 to 15 years of experience in a similar role.
- Must have a minimum of 15 years in managing logistics of large scale building / civil projects, including a recommended two year experience in GCC countries or Middle East.
- Good command of English language with good writing skills.
- Experience in preparation of logistics plans for large scale projects and experience in preparing reports.
