THE JOB DESCRIPTION
The Accountant will be welcomed among the accounting team of Lyve Global. He / She will an integral member of the accounting team that manages the UAE operations.
He / She will report to the Chief Accountant and will have another 5 peers.
THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monthly closing and GL bookings.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing
- Manage the Revenue and AR process
- Manage the Expenses and AP process
- Ensure that expenses are duly validated and booked to the right GL account
- Actively participate at the annual audit process
- Manage the Balance Sheet schedules and ensure their accurate presentation in a timely manner
- Conduct the intercompany billing
- Provide suggestions for the improvement of GL bookings so that meaningful and comprehensive information can be extracted from the ERP system
- Implement these suggestions and remain curious for further improvements
- Implement the roll out of the new ERP system
- Use the additional functionalities of the new ERP system and make suggestions on improvements
- Manage the VAT process in the UAE
- Manage the AP and AR
- Ensure that the SOAs are reconciled
- Receivables are collected on time, otherwise escalate to the commercial team and moderate the resolution of any dispute
- Payments are raised as per credit terms
- The clientsā and suppliersā information remain updated in the ERP together with all the descriptive information in order to easily extract meaningful information
THE COMPETENCES
- Accounting degree with minimum 5 years experience
- ACCA qualified Chartered Accountant or aiming its completion in the coming months
- Experience in IAS 38 ā Intangible Assets is a plus
- Autonomous and highly motivated
- Can-do attitude with focus in creative solutions
- Strong managerial skills to develop the existing accounting team
- Handle work pressure and take decisions in a fast-moving environment
- Previous experience in a start-up environment is a plus
- Pay attention to details and produce qualitative work
- Previous experience in Microsoft Dynamics and QuickBooks is a plus
