Job Description / Role
We are seeking a hardworking and experienced Reefer Technician – To use a working knowledge of reefer systems to conduct maintenance, fault-finding, and diagnostics on existing systems. To maintain temperature cooling, to required standards and to maintain those systems while upholding safety guidelines and complying with codes and regulations
Key Responsibility Areas
- Troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of components on truck and trailer refrigeration units.
- Maintaining transport refrigeration unit on trucks and trailers by performing diagnostics using scanners, electronic test equipment.
- Completing preventive maintenance, component replacement, and service to refrigeration equipment.
- Installing various new units on trailers, trucks, and vans.
- Must do miscellaneous jobs as assigned by manager.
- Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicle
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- ITI Mechanic | Diploma in Refrigerator
- 3-5 years relevant experience
- Proven experience as an reefer technician
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight
