Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- The candidate must be fluent in English.
- Immediately available to join the job.
- Ensure a high level of accuracy and timeliness in the preparation and posting journal entries, invoicing, maintain spreadsheets and account reconciliations
- Preparation of accurate monthly and quarterly financial statements, monthly variance analysis for management review, balance sheet and income statement analysis, reconciling General Ledger, and preparing financial forecasts
- Assist in the preparation of the annual divisional budget and with the timely and accurate completion of the year-end audit, including the preparation of year-end working paper files
- Complete operational reports and analysis
- Liaison with the divisional managers on a regular basis
- Assist in the preparation of payroll
- Responsible for all accounts receivable and payable
- Responsible for tracking of petty cash and office expenditures
- Assist in banking administration
- Completion and/or filing of external compliance documentation
- Prepare the reconciliation for work-related visa expenses
- Other duties as assigned
- Degree or diploma in Accounting and/or Business is required and CPA designation or equivalent credentials
- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in an accounting role based in the UAE with knowledge of pension administration, banking, government requirements, and local taxation including wage protection system
- Public company reporting (IFRS) will be considered an asset
- Experience with project accounting and reporting for medium to large scale projects
- Previous experience with payroll processing
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
- Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and effective time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Superior analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic (Great Plains) and experience in a layered software environment would be considered an asset
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint and Word
- The ability to excel in a team environment and contribute to a diverse team
- The candidate must have good coordination skills to join our team.
