About The Role
As part of the Rides Strategic Finance team for the Middle East and Africa (MEA), you will support Central Operations, Strategy & Planning teams, and Regional Finance teams while collaborating closely with HQ Finance FP&A and Accounting teams. Reporting to the Head of Finance, Mobility MEA, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive financial insights, partnering with various business units, and driving strategic analysis to meet financial and operational goals. You will also support key projects and establish value processes for investment decisions across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Collaborate with finance and regional business leaders to develop financial forecasts and objectives. Use financial insights and business judgment to aid in decision-making.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and improve models to capture business dynamics, assess trade-offs, and drive better decision-making.
  • Strategic Thinking & Implementation: Operationalize insights from financial models to support strategic decision-making and day-to-day execution.
  • Monthly Close: Report and analyze variances between actuals, forecasts, and plans. Use insights to iterate on forecasts and work with cross-functional teams to build actionable plans.
  • Operational Improvement: Enhance planning processes and ensure finance best practices are implemented throughout the organization. Collaborate with accounting to improve management reporting and better understand financial actuals.
  • Innovation: Push the boundaries of traditional forecasting with creativity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new technical skills.
  • Special Projects: Contribute to various strategic initiatives beyond regular modeling work.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Engineering, Finance, Business, or Economics (highly preferred)
  • 4-6 years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Corporate Development/M&A, operational FP&A, or a Chief of Staff role in a high-growth or large, well-established company
  • Strong financial modeling skills with the ability to build efficient, scalable, and intuitive models
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude and goal-oriented mindset
  • High attention to detail, with a proven ability to balance speed and accuracy in execution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Passion for financial modeling
  • Experience with enterprise-level financial planning systems, such as IBM Cognos TM1
  • Understanding of US GAAP
  • Proficiency in SQL to investigate and retrieve data for analysis
  • CFA or CPA certification is a plus
