About The Role

In this role you will be responsible for managing and providing in an effective and cost-efficient way all agreed accounting, tax compliance and governance services for Essity legal entities in Middle East. You will ensure that all accounting, tax, governance activities, systems, procedures and reporting comply with regulations, accounting principles and standards, established by the company, by authorities and regulators or otherwise. Currently there are two legal entities in Dubai, one in Egypt and one in Jordan.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure that the company’s financial and tax activities are conducted accurately, ethically, consistently and according to relevant accounting principles, regulations and standards, whether established by the company, by authorities or regulators.
  • Accountable for preparation, accuracy and completeness of tax, statutory financial and IFRS reports of the company. Present findings and recommendations to the appropriate managers and/or business head.
  • Support and ensure execution of external and internal audit, as agreed with Group Finance and according to local laws and regulations.
  • Keep correspondence with external tax agencies and consultants.
  • Coordinate corporate governance compliance activities for the respective entities.
  • Advise local, regional management and Essity group functions on the potential impact of current and future accounting principles, tax laws and accounting regulations for the operations of the company.
  • Maintain close cooperation between the different organizational units across the matrix organization and with colleagues of Business Service Center.
  • Contribute to development of new and/or improved services, tools and processes through participation in projects and initiatives led by the service development teams.
  • Accountable for stakeholders’ satisfaction and continuous efficiency improvements in own area.
  • Accountable to secure thorough cost management within own responsibility area.
  • Lead, manage and develop your team.

Who You Are

  • Must have a university degree with financial background;
  • Must have minimum 4 years’ experience in handling tax and financial reports in international company;
  • Must have strong sense of responsibility, accuracy, prioritization and time management;
  • Must have great problem solving and solution focused approach with a “Can do” attitude;
  • Must be delighted to collaborate with colleagues across teams and with internal stakeholders;
  • Must have very good English, people management and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Must have knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP B1 and/or QuickBooks is a plus.
