About the job
Job Purpose:
As part of the finance team lead the Financial and Management Reporting and Audit process of the Group Companies. Develop robust financial management reports for covering key financial and non-financial KPIs; including cash flow forecast .Maintain the ERP systems, carry out monthly general ledger closing. Ensure timely VAT and Corporate Tax (CT) filing and adherence to the VAT/CT regulations. Guides and motivates team/s to achieve departmental goals. This includes providing support in day-to day activities to develop capabilities and enhance professional knowledge.
Key Accountabilities:
- Audit Process: Coordinates with external audits to facilitate timely completion of interim and final audits
- Management Reporting: To issue robust financial management reports – covering key financial and non-financial KPIs; including cash flow. Develop tools to improve automation and impact of reporting.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop robust group forecasts, in particular cash flow forecasts, consolidating individual BU forecast into over Group position. For new business development opportunities not under the remit of BUs, assist Group Controller on Investment Analysis (IRR, NOV etc).
- Corporate Tax/VAT: Ensure Compliance with Corporate Tax Laws and VAT regulations , including preparation of filing of returns.
- System Maintenance: Ensure Group ERPs and Qlik Sense are functional, covering the key requirements of the Group. Maintain a proper chart of accounts in the ERP system to ensure proper accounting systems are in place.
- Ensure availability of real time financial information in Qlik Sense (BI) reporting tools, with proper mapping.
- Team Management: Collaborate, direct, guide and motivate team to achieve departmental goals. These include providing support in day-to day activities to develop capabilities and enhance professional knowledge. Conduct team meetings as needed to discuss progress, provide feedback on performance and resolve issues.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
- Professional qualification in CPA, ACCA, CA Certification or equivalent is a must.
- Big 4 accounting firms background & experience is a must.
- Well rounded finance manager. 10 years progressive experience, with good knowledge across accounting, reporting, IFRS/IAS and FP+A.
- Strong people and stakeholder management experience.
- Strong analytical skills, and good understanding of cash flow.
- Strong understanding of Corporate Tax Laws, VAT, ICV and other compliance requirements.
