Overview
What You’ll Be Doing
The role reports to the Vice President of Finance of Managed Companies. Supporting the Chief of Omni Channel (a Chalhoub Executive Committee member); partners with all internal and external stakeholders to lead budgeting process, optimize financial performance, provide key insights, and improve financial controls & processes. Scope of the department: Digital Products, Private Clienteling; Media Solutions, Loyalty Program & Payments; Customer & Data Analytics, Ecommerce, Customer support.
Your responsibility will lead you to endorse several roles such as:
Business Partner
- Support strategic negotiations with technology firms, digital payments solutions, banks, partnerships suppliers.
- Financial Optimization of Omnichannel Operations including Ecommerce platforms and “One Studio”; development of a strategy to develop a Media Solution and study of synergies with other group assets.
- Asses overall group Ecommerce Performance. Have “360 degrees” view on performance including performance marketing and supply chain related metrics as ISA, order fulfil in full, cancelations, returns. Granular ownership of full Managed Companies Ecommerce P&L
- Co-develop value driven strategies & cross charging models for omnichannel solutions as Connect; Private Clienteling Gift cards, MUSE digital App.
- Set guidelines & standards to drive incrementality on full Managed Companies Technology & Marketing spend.
Commentator
- Co-develop value proposition and financial model for Chalhoub’s Omnichannel Strategy & Chalhoub Loyalty program.
- Support feasibility studies on technology products development.
- Lead the budgeting process and work with the key stakeholders within Omnichannel to develop a fact-driven narrative that supports the strategy and justifies the investments.
Scorecard Keeper
- Reporting Financial indicators on value driven by Omnichannel divisions.
- Ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of our financial reporting (Balance Sheet, P&L and Net Cash Generation)
Custodian
- Ensure compliance & Control. Development of new policies and process.
- Governance on Marketing & Technology Spend across Chalhoub Portfolio of brands & Close interaction with Group procurement on marketing initiatives.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- At least 10 years of experience working in global multinationals.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Economics, Finance or Accounting with a Financial certification such as: CFA, CPA, or CIMA.
- A master’s in management; Corporate Finance or an MBA from a leading business school would be a plus.
- Experience in Commercial Finance with exposure to loyalty programs, payment gateways economics, or E-commerce.
- Outstanding analytical skills conducting valuations / financial models.
- Strategic Mindset, able to articulate and communicate a strategic plan to Board and Executive Committee.
- Interpersonal skills, to relate across departments and areas to help achieve results.
- Negotiations Skills and track record of value added to technology contractual agreements.
