About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Executive – Sage Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in Sage Accounting software, ensuring efficient and accurate financial management. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial performance, variances, and trends, providing insights and recommendations to management for informed decision-making.
• Support the preparation of management reports and presentations, ensuring accuracy and clarity of financial information.
General Ledger and Reconciliation:
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
• Perform bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Ensure the accuracy of journal entries and ledger balances, maintaining proper documentation for audits.
Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Review and approve invoices, payment vouchers, and expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and prepare cash flow forecasts.
Cash Flow Management:
• Monitor daily cash flow activities, optimize working capital, and provide regular cash flow analysis to support investment decisions.
• Develop strategies for managing surplus funds and short-term investments.
Vendor and Client Relations:
• Manage relationships with key vendors and clients, resolving billing issues and negotiating payment terms.
• Conduct regular reviews of vendor accounts to ensure timely payments and adherence to terms.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification
· Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
· Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly and effectively.
· Leadership Skills: Proven ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate with other departments to achieve financial goals.
