Hiring Position: Sales Head – Logistics

The Logistics Sales Manager will support the organization through development management and leadership of the sales team. This role will plan and implement sales strategies that will gain business and effectively manage the logistics business of clients.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree
Experience with transportation and logistics industries.
Sales experience with success in the cold-calling environment.
Proven record of growing business and starting new accounts.
Ability to make quick, smart business decisions.
Previous management/supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to effectively train others, preferably with experience in doing so
Outstanding organizational skills, excellent time management skills, ability to multitask.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
Above 10 years’ experience in Logistics / Shipping Sales Manager / Head.

Responsibilities:

Achieve revenue and profitability targets for the company – 3PL & Freight forwarding services.
Develop and manage operating budgets.
Day-to-day staff management and development including recruitment, hiring, performance coaching and annual reviews for direct reports—all with full support of corporate office.
Act as a liaison between the customers and operations staff.
Manage sourcing of customers. Build and maintain relationships with customers and assist and direct team members in sourcing and growing customer base.
Monthly financial analysis: including determining overall success of current customer profiles.
Determine current rates in the marketplace offered by competitors.
Development of sales Team including succession planning.
Overseeing receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
Implementing operational policies and procedures.
Delegating tasks, supervising, Leading and motivating employees.
Monitoring and tracking operating cost, budgets, and resources.
Ensure best rate for air/sea/land transportations.
Adhere to vendor contracts by strictly complying to the terms and conditions including handling & holding inventory.
Ensure compliance with respective legal, commercial, insurance, safety, health, business and other related laws, regulations.
Uphold company standards of excellence and service, guaranteeing quality performance among internal and external stake holders.
Inventory management of group companies in consultation with marketing team.
Warehouse, equipment’s therein & other assets to be maintained properly.
Managing customer complaints and resolving their issues.
Training, supervising, and appraising of staff.
Managing 3PL – Warehouse rental KPI .
Freight forwarding – Third party services – KPI.

Salary will be discussed subject to the experience.
