We Are Hiring: Project Accountant (UAE Oil & Gas Sector)
Location: Dubai or Abu Dhabi (Regular travel between both locations required)
Experience Required: Minimum 10+ years in ADNOC-related and construction projects
We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant with a solid track record in handling project financials within the UAE’s Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of project-based accounting, strong financial system implementation experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally with business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project accounting for UAE-based Oil & Gas projects
- Review project contracts with a strong grasp of commercial terms and conditions
- Monitor BOQ and progress invoicing
- Oversee cost control and budget tracking on a per-project basis
- Conduct receivable follow-ups and account reconciliations
- Prepare payroll based on site timekeeping records
- Monitor accounts payable and reconcile payments
- Handle monthly VAT return submissions
- Understand ICV (In-Country Value) guidelines and support audits
- Work within financial ERP and payroll systems; lead and support ERP implementations
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience implementing ERP/accounting systems
- Background as a Finance Business Partner, with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently with clear ownership of financial deliverables
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (B.Com) is required
- Master’s Degree in Accounting is a plus
