We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead our procurement team at our head office in Al Quoz, Dubai. You will develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to optimize purchasing activities and achieve cost savings while meeting quality and delivery standards. Purchasing Manager Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the daily activities of the purchasing function. Manage the purchase order process, ensuring accurate and timely purchase order creation, issuance, and tracking.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to optimize purchasing activities and achieve cost savings, optimizing air and sea shipment while meeting quality and delivery requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments/brand managers to understand the purchasing needs, forecast demand, and develop procurement plans accordingly.
  • Identify and evaluate potential 3rd party suppliers and vendors based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery performance.
  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance, and product specifications to identify opportunities of streamlining process improvements including disputes, quality concerns, delivery delays, and payment discrepancies.
  • Monitor market trends to make informed purchasing decisions and mitigate supply chain risk
  • Oversee the vendor relationship management helping to maintain healthy and trusting relationships between the vendor and the company and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.
  • Supervise inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and carrying cost.
  • Ensure compliance with all standards, legal and regulatory requirements related to purchasing and procurement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the procurement process.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism among Colleagues in the team. Supervise and provide guidance to the purchasing team, including training, performance evaluation and management, and professional development initiatives.
  • Establish and develop procurement KPI’s.
  • Responsible of creating, developing, maintaining and implementing a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure.

Education, Experience, and Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor/ Diploma/Relevant degree/certification
  • Must have 4-5 years of experience in Procurement field
  • Experience in import, export and direct procurement
  • Highly organized, proactive and a team player.
  • Should have knowledge of ERP system
  • Excellent verbal and written communication are required.
  • Must be familiar with English, professional.
