Manager, Reporting | MAF Properties | Finance – Reporting & Consolidation

Role Summary

The candidate will do consolidated reporting for group entities using Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), overseeing the financial close process, and addressing internal stakeholders’ reporting requirements. The candidate will also contribute in preparing Majid Al Futtaim Properties’ consolidated and standalone financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and assist in preparing the Board reporting pack for the Audit Risk Committee.

ROLE PROFILE

  • Be entrusted with the consolidation reporting of all group entities utilizing Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). This role encompasses the accurate and timely consolidation of financial data and execution of validation checks.
  • Be tasked with the oversight and supervision of the financial closing process. This responsibility requires effective coordination with various teams to ensure deadlines are met and meticulous review of the accuracy of financial information.
  • Address the reporting requirements of internal stakeholders, including Business Units and Majid Al Futtaim reporting teams. This involves the preparation and presentation of financial reports and provision of pertinent financial insights.
  • Contribute to the preparation and finalization of Majid Al Futtaim Properties’ consolidated and stand-alone financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Support in resolving various audit and accounting issues related to real estate, retail, and hospitality, implementation of new International Financial Reporting Standards accounting standards, and preparation of the Audit Risk Committee deliverables.
  • Perform analytical reviews of account balances and prepare various schedules in relation to financial statements.
  • Evaluate performance, supervise, train, and motivate direct report/s to achieve peak productivity and performance, fostering a culture of excellence within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree at Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in financial reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • CA/CPA/ACCA is a must.
  • Auditing experience in shopping malls, hospitality and real estate is a must.
  • Proficient knowledge of Oracle & HFM.
  • Solid analytical skills and problem-solving skills, with good business acumen.
