JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our team, providing essential accounting support to our small business clients. This role is ideal for someone who has experience of 3-4 year in accounting and eager to develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. The Junior Accountant will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards for multiple small and medium clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Accounting Support:
    • Assist in managing the day-to-day accounting operations for various small businesses.
    • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in clients’ ledgers, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
    • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and generate financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for review by senior accountants.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients.
    • Ensure all financial reports are accurate and delivered on time to clients.
  • Tax Preparation and Compliance:
    • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations for small business clients.
    • Help clients with sales tax filings, payroll taxes, and other required filings.
    • Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect clients.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
    • Process client invoices and payments, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
    • Monitor and manage outstanding receivables, following up on overdue accounts as necessary.
    • Handle vendor payments and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to client accounts.
  • Client Communication:
    • Provide excellent customer service by responding to client inquiries and providing financial guidance as needed.
    • Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary financial information and resolve any issues.
  • General Accounting Support:
    • Assist senior accountants with various tasks as needed, including financial analysis and budgeting.
    • Support the implementation of accounting software and tools for clients.
    • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for all clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in accounting, internships, or relevant work experience.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Odoo, QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to manage multiple small and medium business.
  • Basic knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements in UAE.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop in the accounting field.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
