Job Description:

Assisting with Financial Statements:
Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.

General Ledger Maintenance:
Assisting with general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.
Updating and verifying account balances to maintain accurate records.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Handling invoices, payments, and receivables under supervision.
Reconciling vendor statements and preparing payment schedules.

Expense Tracking and Reporting:
Reviewing employee expense reports and verifying receipts for accuracy.
Ensuring compliance with the company’s expense policy.

Data Entry and Transaction Processing:
Entering financial transactions into accounting software accurately.
Assisting with coding and categorizing transactions.

Bank Reconciliations:
Performing monthly bank reconciliations.
Investigating discrepancies and assisting with corrective actions.

Audit Support:
Assisting in the preparation of audit documents and reports.
Coordinating with external auditors for required documentation.

Budget Assistance:
Supporting the Chief Accountant in budget preparation and forecasting.
Assisting with budget variance analysis.

Tax Compliance:
Assisting in the preparation of tax returns and compliance reports.
Gathering relevant data and supporting documents for tax filings.

Financial Analysis:
Assisting with basic financial analysis to identify trends or variances.
Preparing financial data summaries for review.

Maintaining Accounting Systems:
Ensuring data is up-to-date in the accounting software.
Suggesting system improvements for more efficient processes.

Policy and Procedure Compliance:
Ensuring adherence to corporate policies and accounting procedures.
Supporting the Chief Accountant in developing or revising financial protocols.

Other Administrative Support:
Handling administrative tasks related to the accounting department.
Assisting with documentation and filing as needed.
