Junior Accountant

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Payable Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing the company’s accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Invoice Management:

• Process and verify invoices for accuracy and appropriate approvals.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.

2. Payment Processing:

• Prepare and execute payments to vendors and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate records of payments and transactions.

3. Account Reconciliation:

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions with bank statements.
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues with vendors or internal teams.

4. Record Maintenance:

• Maintain an organized and up-to-date accounts payable filing system.
• Ensure all records comply with audit requirements and company standards.

5. Vendor Communication:

• Communicate with vendors regarding payment timelines and any outstanding issues.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.

6. Reporting:

• Assist in preparing accounts payable reports and analyses for management.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

7. Compliance and Policy Adherence:

• Ensure all accounts payable activities adhere to company policies and relevant financial regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting (home country experience is acceptable).
• Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive financial information.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
