Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to support our Accounts Manager in the day-to-day financial operations of our company. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in accounting practices within the UAE and a strong grasp of English communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in inventory counting and management, ensuring accurate stock records.
- Maintain employee attendance and HR records in coordination with HR department.
- Handle day-to-day invoice recording and filing in the accounting system.
- Manage petty cash and cheque disbursements, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.
- Maintain and update Fixed Assets Register and amortization schedules.
- Assist in monthly closings, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments for payments and account queries.
- Support in VAT filing and compliance with local financial regulations.
- Provide support during audits and preparation of financial statements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Accounting experience in the UAE.
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English (spoken and written).
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
