Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to support our Accounts Manager in the day-to-day financial operations of our company. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in accounting practices within the UAE and a strong grasp of English communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in inventory counting and management, ensuring accurate stock records.
  • Maintain employee attendance and HR records in coordination with HR department.
  • Handle day-to-day invoice recording and filing in the accounting system.
  • Manage petty cash and cheque disbursements, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.
  • Maintain and update Fixed Assets Register and amortization schedules.
  • Assist in monthly closings, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal departments for payments and account queries.
  • Support in VAT filing and compliance with local financial regulations.
  • Provide support during audits and preparation of financial statements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Accounting experience in the UAE.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
