About the job
This position is responsible for managing and supporting finance and accounting operations, coordinating the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances, and preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements. It is accountable for ensuring effective and accurate closure of the month-end and year-end processes aligning to the governance and regulatory law.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities:
- Undertake all aspects of financial planning and management. Manage corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting and development of policies and procedures.
- Provide support in the reviewal of ADIO’s financial statements, documents, data such as accounting entries, cash flow statements, income statements and balance sheets to ensure the accurate and flawless accounting process that is aligned with the ADIO’s governance and law
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Identify accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions. Support month-end and year-end close process
- Assist in the reviewal of accounts receivable, invoices, vendor payments, and billing procedures to ensure compliance with accounting guidelines
- Review the financials for the disbursement of incentives and rebates for all programs/ projects managed by ADIO
- Implement changes as guided to the internal controls and financial reporting procedures to enhance the ADIO’s financial procedure’s efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall performance
- Assist in the development of new standards of practice for the section in order to increase accounting accuracy and integrity
- Develop, document, and monitor business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Coordinate and work with relevant entities, such as, Department of Finance (DOF) and Department of Economic Development (DED), to secure funding for different initiatives
- Manage ADIO’s treasury, investments, working capital and financial risks
- Ensure quality and prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Perform any other duties as requested by the reporting manager
Administrative responsibilities:
- Maintain knowledge of new and existing KPI requirements as an individual employee
- Participate in the employee engagement and capability development programs within the section and communicate training and development needs of self
- Comply with the section’s budget and operational plans
Organizational responsibilities:
- Maintain awareness and adherence to the ADIO’s governance framework
- Maintain awareness and adherence to the section’s policies and procedures
- Contribute to, and support the development of periodic reports, as requested
- Participate and support the execution of change management activities in the section
- Participate in performance appraisals and reflect on the feedback and recommendations provided by the line manager for development
- Support in providing expert technical support in the event of an emergency to promote business continuity
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or any related specialization
Experience Required: 03 to 05 years of experience required
