About the job
Job Purpose: Join our team as a Specialist in Finance Reporting, where you will play a key role in producing month-end management reports and various ad-hoc reports. You’ll ensure that management reviews are efficient and aligned with DCT’s business objectives, adhering to International Financial Standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in preparing periodic management reports on budget utilization and variances, and support investigations into these variances.
- Provide accurate financial reports and analyses to internal and external stakeholders, collaborating with other finance teams for necessary data.
Reporting System and Process:
- Help develop and implement effective financial management systems and reporting processes in line with accounting standards.
- Support the enhancement of financial models and reporting tools for comprehensive analysis.
- Contribute to the automation and improvement of financial reporting processes, implementing industry best practices.
Shared Activities:
- Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by your manager.
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies and standard operating procedures.
- Uphold the organization’s values and ethics to foster a culture of integrity.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in systems and processes.
Communication & Working Relationships:
Internal:
- Collaborate with executive and senior management, finance department, and other internal teams.
External:
- Liaise with regulators, external auditors, consultants, and financial institutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
- Preferred professional accreditations: CA, ACCA, or CPA.
Experience:
- up-to 5 years in Finance & Accounting.
Skills:
- Proficient in English and Arabic (both spoken and written).
- Strong skills in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Excellent attention to detail and administrative skills.
- Self-motivated with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience in business planning and program management related to finance and policy.
