Aldar Academies are currently seeking an outstanding Finance Officer for Al Ain British Academy commencing on immediately to oversee all matters relating to the day-to-day management of school finance.This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly successful Aldar family.

Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
To oversee all matters relating to the day-to-day management of school finance.
Main Duties:
- Respond to parents’ requirements and inquiries as they relate to finance or admissions.
- Manage the collection of tuition fees late payments
- Follow up late payments and returned cheques.
- Manage petty cash including reconciliation and replenishment.
- Prepare bank collection report and undertake cheques scanning
- Manage the trips and activities collections, students lists, and all related information and send them to HQ for payment.
- Manage stationery requests from staff, order stationery, follow up orders and manage stationery supplies.
- Manage exercise book/textbook and library book orders.
- Manage recommendation reports and liaise with HQ for raising LPO.
- Manage student planner/year book orders.
- Manage the reprographic analysis and update each HoD of his/her spending.
- Monitor department budgets; prepare monthly income and expenditure statements/ updates for HoDs, budget holders and principal (including petty cash and reprographic analysis).
- manage the collection of examination fees.
- Manage self-fund budgets
- Manage transport invoices: collect all information then prepare quick receipts for self-fund trips and liaise with HQ for payment.
- Manage the charities from different activities and send them to Red Crescent or specified destination.
- Complying with the requirements of health and safety, other relevant legislation and school policies
- Attending any necessary training associated with the duties of the post
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties within the overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibility of the post.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Minimum Experience
- 2+ Years’ experience in finance function
Job Specific Knowledge & Skills
- Fluent English communication skills, written and oral.
- Attention to detail with diligent follow up, and able to execute in a timely manner.
- Skilled in multi-tasking and handling pressure
- Advanced excel skills with proven financial modelling experience
- Proficient in accounting software
- Ability to liaise effectively business functions in order to collect input required for analysis
- Ability to manage a team
- Ability to be detail focused when required whilst maintaining sight of the big picture
- Deadline oriented and take ownership of work
- Excellent analytical capabilities and hands on experience in MS Office presentations
- Organizational ability, of self and others.
