About the job
As the Finance Manager at Maxzi The Good Food Shop, your primary responsibility is to establish and maintain financial and management procedures. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, oversee resource acquisition, and contribute to the company’s short-term and long-term objectives in collaboration with Director of Finance
Job Responsibilities:
· Manage the financial system to meet the needs of the business.
· Oversee continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes and develop the team to achieve best practices.
· Develop and oversee accounting policies and procedures to meet current and future business models.
· Ensure appropriate legal review of contracts and solicit external legal advice when necessary.
· Manage payment of operational accounts and execute all supplier payments in compliance with company policy.
· Coordinate external audits and analyze results, highlighting areas of concern and recommending improvements.
· Prepare monthly financial reports for the Director of Finance
· Lead and coach the team to achieve best practices and maximize employee potential.
· Responsible for financial management reporting, presenting monthly and year-to-date financials with analysis.
· Develop regular reporting and analysis, including key metrics reports for Sales, inventories, product costings, and customer collections.
· Lead the annual business plan development and budgeting process.
· Lead financial modeling and analysis to support the development of long-term strategic initiatives and business plans.
Key Performance Indicators for Success:
· Timely and accurate financial reporting and achievement of budgeting targets
· Contribution to strategic initiatives and business growth.
· Contribution to strategic initiatives and business growth.
· Lead/ Contribute to at least one innovation project in a year
· Increase the productivity metrics of the finance team
Skills and Qualifications:
· Masters Degree in Commerce of Qualified CA/ CPA or MBA in Finance
· Competency in Microsoft Office programs and accounting packages such as SAP
· 8 or more year of experience in senior accounting position with a globally recognized company
· Preferred experience in food industry
· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, negotiate, and influence others.
· Ability to guide, mentor and coach the sales team
