Overview of the role:

The purpose of this role is to efficiently manage and execute critical operational tasks, including job/project creation and modification, amendments, revisions, closures and accurate man-hour posting, customer invoicing, and accounts receivable reconciliation. This role ensures the seamless flow of processes from job initiation to customer account reconciliation, supporting business operations and maintaining financial accuracy and compliance. The successful execution of these tasks is essential for maintaining operational efficiency, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring the timely and accurate financial management of projects.

What you will do:

Responsible for:

  • Ensure accurate creation of Project/Job creation, revision/amendments of budget and project closures fulfilling DOA requirements. Reviewing performance reports (project systems) and evaluating them and identifying any irregularities (overrun projects, delayed closure, final accounts settlements).
  • Ensure accurate and appropriate cost and revenue budgets are established for jobs created in the system.
  • Maintain thorough and organized records of all contractual documents.
  • Ensure all financial documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.
  • Maintain accurate records of the general ledger and track all assets, including current and non-current assets (Certified Receivables, Uncertified Receivables, Retention and Advance Recoveries).
  • Ensure all job-related financial transactions are accurately recorded and tracked (SAP).
  • Review and process client invoices for projects, identifying irregularities in customer account receivables as they age and recognizing revenue monthly.
  • Reconcile revenue accounts and ensure all revenue postings are completed for month-end activities.
  • Accurately post and manage man-hours for jobs created.
  • Co-ordinating with Business Analysts, Finance Shared Service Center (FSSC) and Operational team to ensure Revenue recognition and Customer invoice are one in timely manner.
  • Liaising with Accounting Manager and Group Tax team for month end and post month end activities.

What equips you for the role:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is required.

Minimum Experience:

6-8 years of experience in Accounts and Finance Functions, Proven experience with SAP is essential (AR-AP and reporting knowledge).
