Overview

As the Finance Controller you will execute all accounting functions and ensure all activities are correctly accounted for in a timely manner and in compliance with company procedures and statutory requirements. Manage the month end closing of the financial books, control over payroll, AR & AP functions. Provide key support in the preparation of Financial Statements, budget, compliance and audit.

In This Role, You Will

  • Manage the end-to-end financial accounting functions (i.e. accrual, reconciliation and controls). Ensuring compliance with accounting standard and regulatory requirement.
  • Manage Timely Invoice submission and keeping the invoice submission chart updated, maintain DSO days below budget, Ensure smooth functioning of outsourced services for Invoice preparation etc.
  • Conducting fortnightly review of receivable and providing debtors monthly summary report to the management, highlighting risk as and when perceived, receivable reconciliation and quarterly balance confirmation from clients, reviewing half yearly credit limits fixation and supporting in statutory audit.
  • Ensure the AP process, is effectively carried out including timely processing of invoices, reconcile and control financial Transactions in accounting system.
  • Manage the monthly closing of the books after completing pre-closing checks and handling exceptions with the concerned sections / departments to ensure that the financial numbers are complete and accurate.
  • Review Group company submissions for timeliness, completeness and accuracy. Analyse the movements in balances, obtaining explanations for significant variations with an aim to respond to audit queries. Adjust Group company financials, where necessary, to align them with Group accounting policies and IFRS.
  • Ensure compliance in all areas such as local taxes (VAT, Corporate Tax) as well as other local requirements and keeping proper documentation.
  • Monitor cash flow and report working capital requirement.
  • Manage the team by allocation of objectives, resources to achieve the work plan as per deadlines and conduct timely PM reviews.

Qualifications & Experience: To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Graduated in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • More than 5 years’ experience Finance, Audit, Management or Accounting

You’ll Have An Edge If You Have

  • Accounting Degree preferably a qualified accountant with at least 5 years relevant experience in a large organization, preferably within the travel industry.
  • Strong accounting and technical skills in a service company with different lines of business operating in a multiple currency environment. Ability to analyze complex and large financial databases.
