Principal Duties and Accountability

General Duties:

  • Handle Finance counter and Student Finance email
  • Respond to students’ email and telephone queries related to the outstanding balance
  • Respond to students’ requests for the special payment plan and follow up on missed instalments
  • Collection of students fee outstanding by sending fee reminders and consistent calls
  • Prepare Manual SOA and invoice as per student request necessary for the collection
  • Review of Monthly Aging Report and analyze the movement of receivables to improve the collection
  • Maintaining the prior year’s overdue receivables list, coordinating the collection email to be sent by the external legal consultants and identifying bad debts
  • Compile all documentation for the Student Finance Committee Meetings
  • Document collection effort by preparing the status of deliverables
  • Assist the Head of Finance/Finance Manager in other finance tasks
  • Respond to all student/parent queries (in person/telephone/email)
  • Manage the Student Finance email inbox/helpdesk
  • Develop standard response templates to frequently asked questions
  • Accept over-the-counter credit card payments
  • Participate in credit control collection activities, primarily calling students with outstanding debts.
  • Ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements

Qualifications Required

  • Excellent communicator in English, both verbal and written.
  • Min. 2 years’ customer service experience
  • Accuracy & attention to detail.
  • Experience working within the credit control section.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage own workload
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Target and deadline driven
  • Experience in Education / Finance environments desired.
  • ACCA, CA, or CPA qualification is desirable
