DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions.
· Oversees preparation of business activity reports.
· Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
· Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
· Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
· Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
· Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
· Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
· Organizes and supervises scheduled and unscheduled stock counts.
· Ensures all accounting transactions are based on properly prepared supporting documents.
· Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
General activities to ensure job purpose:
· Submit on annual basis organizational model of assigned business unit, handle unit’s objectives, meeting regulations and reports.
· Plan section/subsection manpower, workload and needed resources.
· Control direct reports’ performance, discipline, internal and external regulations compliance.
· Control section/subsection *KPI’s and objectives completion.
· Define mid-term priorities and scenarios for assigned section/subsection.
· Define short-term actions and impose tasks for each direct report within a general strategy.
· Provide comprehensive explanations, support and assistance to direct reports and colleagues.
· Within section/subsection actively encourage and support individual development on a general level.
· Encourage team contribution to company growth and prosperity.
· Actively point out a need for changes and support such changes.
· Share basic knowledge about internal and external customers’ needs with team and satisfy such needs within existing services of the section/subsection.
· Build up open and transparent relationships with employees, customers and business partners which are based on mutual trust.
· Consider potential adverse impacts on health and safety, analyze and plan necessary actions to avoid such impacts.
· Define moral and physical health as prerequisites for self-fulfillment through decent work.
Education and Certification:
• University degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• Certified Public Accountant with minimum 3 years of experience in UAE in similar position
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS
• Excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Knowledge of UAE Law (including Labor Law)
• Familiarity with basic UAE VAT Law, Corporate Tax Law
• Written and verbal English language, intermediate (B2) level and above.
• International Financial certifications is a must
