Overview
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Management:
Collect, clean, and organize large sets of data from various internal and external sources (sales, inventory, market trends, customer demographics, etc.).
Maintain and ensure the integrity of databases and data pipelines.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Conduct statistical analyses to identify patterns, trends, and insights in sales, customer behavior, inventory levels, and other business operations.
Develop and maintain regular performance reports (daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports).
Present findings in a clear and actionable format to key stakeholders.
Market Trends & Consumer Insights:
Analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to provide insights that will guide product offerings, sales strategies, and marketing campaigns.
Support product development and marketing teams with relevant data insights.
Forecasting & Inventory Optimization:
Assist in demand forecasting by analyzing historical sales data to predict future trends and recommend stock adjustments.
Work with the supply chain team to optimize inventory levels and avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
Collaboration & Cross-Departmental Support:
Collaborate with various departments (marketing, sales, supply chain, etc.) to identify key metrics and KPIs.
Support decision-making by providing data-driven insights for marketing strategies, pricing, and promotions.
Automation & Process Improvement:
Continuously identify opportunities for automating data collection, reporting, and analysis processes.
Help improve the overall data analytics processes and tools to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in data science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
Experience:
4+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the retail or consumer goods sector.
Experience with data analysis tools
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis techniques, statistical methods, and data visualization tools.
Solid understanding of databases (SQL, Microsoft Access, etc.) and experience working with large datasets.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex data for non-technical audiences.
Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to addressing business needs.
Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with the baby products market and understanding of consumer behavior trends in the UAE and Middle Eastern region.
