What We’re Looking For

• A proven track record in a Luxury Hotel or Resort environment with at least 6-8 years of experience in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering role.
• Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English (Additional languages are a Plus).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, leveraging strong verbal and written skills to express Departmental Goals and Ultimately Produce desired results.
• Next-Level Organizational and Leadership skills, effectively leading and inspiring the FIVE Tribe to New Heights.
• Remarkable Time Management and Multi-Tasking skills to deliver a ‘FIVE-Star’ Experience for our Guests, even under pressure.
• A hands-on attitude, fuelled by a ‘Can-Do!’ Spirit.

Key Responsibilities

• Directly reports to the Director of Engineering and is an integral member of the property’s Executive Committee.
• Provides the Gold Standard of Property Maintenance, demonstrating both reactive and preventive knowledge.
• Exquisitely maintains the Building, Grounds and Plant Equipment with particular attention to Safety, Security and Asset protection.
• Develops and Implements Strategies to deliver ‘FIVE-Star’ products and services, that exceed the expectations of Guests and Stakeholders while Maximizing FIVE’s financial performance.
• Ensures all work follows Strict Adherence to Safe Work Practices and Procedures, prioritizing the well-being and security of all ‘FIVERs’ involved.
• Leads the Emergency Response Team for all facility issues, demonstrating a Remarkable ability to Perform Under Pressure.
• Confidently develops and manages the Engineering Budget, ensuring integration of Departmental Goals in daily game plans.
• Manages Engineering Operations and Budgets and Determines with the property’s Team how the Engineering Department is performing against the budget and Highlights areas of concern to the Leadership Team.
• Manages the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, boilers and electrical systems and any other building services per FIVE’s Standard Operating Procedures.
• Develops an Engineering Operating Strategy that is aligned with the property as per FIVE’s Business Strategy.
• Uses Next-Level Attention to Detail to administer property policies fairly and consistently.
• Demonstrates ‘FIVE-Styled’ Flair by Contributing in DTCM and FIVE Hotels and Resorts’ Sustainability Initiatives.
• Expertly trains Fellow ‘FIVERs’ within the Department, participates in Hiring, and Mentoring the team, and Evaluating teams’ Cumulative Performance.
