CHIEF ACCOUNTANT
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy graduate and must be a Certified Public Accountant
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in general accounting in supervisory position.
• Post working experience must be in a product trading and products distribution business.
• In-depth understanding of entire MS Office suite and accounting process.
• Knowledgeable of VAT guidelines in UAE and extensive corporate and personal tax experience.
• Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Expertise in finalization of financial statements.
• Consistent, accurate and thorough with an eye for details.
• Professional level verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and internal departments.
• Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
• A proactive approach to problem- solving with strong decision-making and leadership skills.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Overall supervision of the accounting team for implementation of proper accounting policies and internal control procedures
· Leads the ERP migration of the company
· Maintains the online banking and check all banking transactions (bank deposits, bank transfers and cheque issuances)
· Checks all accounting transactions, payments before approval to Managing Partner
· Reviews team reports weekly on AR, AP and Sales and advise team members for noted issues and recommend necessary actions
· Responsible for financial reporting required by external users such as banks, suppliers, and government entities
· Responsible for processing and cancellation of employees’ visa
· Computes payroll and employee benefits
· Review VAT Returns and Refund to ensure accuracy before submitting to FTA and resolve VAT issues within the company
· Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and closing entries up to finalization of Financial Statements
· Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting or administrative tasks within deadlines.
· Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.
· Recommend positive changes to existing accounting & finance procedures.
· Leads the year-end inventory count and reconciliation
· Point person for external audit by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
