Assistant Manager Finance

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead – Finance to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Finance Manager in all aspects of financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information while providing valuable insights to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, including variance analysis and reporting.
• Perform financial analysis, including key performance indicators (KPIs), profitability analysis, and cost-benefit analysis.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer collections.
• Assist with the preparation of tax filings and audits.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Provide support to the Finance Manager on ad-hoc projects and initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor junior finance staff.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) is preferred.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a finance role, preferably in a retail environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics D365) is a plus.
