Your Day to Day:

A highly motivated and strategic Assistant Director of Sales – Leisure, to lead and grow our leisure and wholesale segment, with a strong emphasis on the CIS market. Based at our Dubai Sales Office, the successful candidate will drive business to InterContinental Fujairah Resort by leveraging market expertise, cultivating key partnerships, and implementing targeted sales strategies.

Some of your main role responsibilities are:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for the leisure and wholesale markets with a primary focus on the CIS region.
  • Identify new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with tour operators, DMCs, travel agents, and other trade partners.
  • Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, and presentations to promote InterContinental Fujairah Resort
  • Represent the hotel at international travel trade shows, exhibitions, and sales missions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Revenue, Marketing, and Reservations teams to optimize commercial performance.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and booking patterns to provide strategic insights.
  • Organize and lead familiarization trips and site inspections for key clients.
  • Prepare regular sales performance reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Lead and mentor the leisure sales team, ensuring alignment with the overall commercial strategy and IHG brand values.
  • Develop and implement medium to long-term strategic plans for the leisure segment, with measurable goals and KPIs.
  • Drive revenue growth through advanced forecasting, pipeline management, and proactive yield optimization strategies.
  • Monitor ROI on leisure sales initiatives and adjust tactics based on performance analytics.
  • Contribute to the property’s overall brand positioning by curating leisure packages tailored to target guest personas and trends.
  • Personally manage top-tier leisure accounts and high-profile clients to drive loyalty and repeat business.
  • Act as the key hotel ambassador for VIP travel trade partners, representing the hotel at elite networking functions.

Ideally, you’ll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we’re looking for:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the 5-star luxury hotel segment, with a focus on leisure and wholesale.
  • In-depth knowledge of the CIS market is essential; a strong existing network in this region is highly advantageous.
  • Russian language proficiency is a strong asset; fluency in English is required.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Dubai, with flexibility for regional travel as required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
