Accounting Specialist

Overview

Your Role: We are looking for a brilliant and passionate Supplier Accounting Specialist to join Finance Team in out Dubai Office located in Jumeirah Road.

The job will be from Monday to Friday in the office.

Your Impact:

• Record payable invoices in strict adherence to IAS accounting standards, as well as tax regulations (VAT and direct taxes) and management accounting principles (e.g., analytical accounting).
• Ensure compliance with the procurement process, including the issuance of purchase requests, approval of purchase requests, purchase order entry, and receipt of goods into inventory.
• Release invoices for payment upon receiving authorization from the Purchasing Manager, within established expenditure limits.
• Accurately record and maintain asset master data, including all necessary information for calculating and managing fixed assets (e.g., dimensions, registration numbers, locations, asset categories).
• Efficiently manage the payables schedule to ensure the timely and accurate payment of supplier invoices.
• Handle the processing of invoices and credit notes to be received, as well as invoices related to advance payments.
• Reconcile accounts payable with balance sheet accounts.
• Record accruals, deferrals, and outstanding invoices/credit notes in a timely manner.
• Recognize and account for foreign exchange differences on outstanding supplier balances in foreign currencies.

About You: Ideally, you are passionate about working out, enthusiastic and proactive, while also down-to-earth and ethical.

What You Should Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Economics
• Experience in Accounting
• Extensive knowledge of the International Accounting Standards
• Experience in financial solutions management
• Knowledge of ERP systems – SAP
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Fluency English (appreciate Arabic)
