Job Title: Food & Beverage (F&B) Accountant

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced F&B Accountant to manage the financial operations of our food and beverage department. This role involves tracking inventory, controlling costs, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with specific experience in the hospitality or F&B sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage food and beverage cost control systems, including inventory, wastage, and purchasing.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly F&B cost reports and variance analyses.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits for bars, kitchens, and storage areas.
  • Work closely with procurement and operations teams to track supplier invoices and ensure accurate pricing and delivery.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable specific to F&B operations.
  • Reconcile point-of-sale (POS) data with general ledger and accounting systems.
  • Monitor and report on food and beverage margins, suggesting improvements to minimize losses and optimize profitability.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for F&B departments.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and local financial regulations.
  • Liaise with auditors and prepare necessary documentation during audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience in the F&B, hospitality, or hotel industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting and POS systems.
  • Strong knowledge of F&B cost control and inventory systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is an advantage.
